Found and co-director
Tom
Well Seasoned Wood started out as a one man band, with Tom delivering firewood at all hours of the day and night. Now he’s semi-retired. He spends half his time down the yard and the other half tinkering with his motorbikes or heading off on adventures in the campervan. He’s still the one we turn to when something needs fixing and while he’s not around the yard every day, he’s still plays an essential role in the day-to-day running of the business and any decision making.
Co-Director
Toby
Toby is the face of Well Seasoned Wood. From delivering orders to keeping the yard running smoothly, Toby is always busy making sure everything is taken care of and getting stuck into whatever needs doing. Always reliable and happy to lend a hand, going out of his way to help whenever he can. He is very much a self confessed BBQ enthusiast and the reason we have our wide range of BBQ products today. He will quite happily talk about firewood and outdoor cooking until the cows come home!
Head of Operations
Bex
As Head of Operations, Bex is the one keeping things running smoothly. From scheduling deliveries and sweeps to answering emails and keeping the website up to date, there’s usually plenty on her to-do list. She also looks after the design side of things and you'll likely be greeted by her if you visit the yard. Basically, if it happens behind the scenes, there’s a good chance she’s had something to do with it!
Chimney sweep & deliveries
Alexis
If you’ve had your chimney swept by us, you’ve most likely met Alexis! During the summer months, you’ll find him with his head up a chimney, while in winter he will be out delivering firewood orders across Bristol and the surrounding areas. Nothing is ever too much or too difficult for Alexis. Although, as a French man, he’ll tell you he has the strength of seven English men! We’ve yet to prove him wrong.
Head of Security
Whitney
Whitney is our office dog and arguably has one of the most important roles in the business. Although she takes her responsibilities very seriously, she can quite often be found sleeping on the job and tends to watch the office from her bed. Her biggest threat is probably that she will lick you to death, but she’s is an excellent alarm system whenever the postie arrives. She’s always on hand to greet customers, supervise the team and make sure nobody is eating anything without her knowing about it.
Night time security
Blaze
When the rest of the team clock off at 4pm, Blaze is just starting his shift as our night time security guard. He keeps things ticking over while the rest of us are sleeping. Although we’re not entirely sure how much patrolling actually takes place. When he’s off duty, you’ll find him enjoying fresh dandelions and sunbathing under his lamp. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.
